Red wines

GAMARET

Gamaret is a DOC Aosta Valley wine, a grape variety of Swiss origin and very interesting for mountain areas. Locally, it is mainly used as an assemblage for other varieties, but we have decided to dedicate an exclusive wine label to give life to an aging red with the characteristics of a fresh mountain wine.

Thanks to its structure, color and tannin peculiarities (of which often the native varieties are lacking), Gamaret is one of those few grape varieties that alone can sustain a wine; that is why we wanted to reserve a wine label for it, obviously paying attention to the yields and trying to obtain a product that is both fresh and important: in terms of structure, as a wine, and in longevity.

Hence the decision for a longer vinification, entirely in wood, to bring out the aromatic notes typical of a variety known for its expression and stimulation.

What should I expect while sipping a glass of Gamaret?

You will be amazed, because you will taste notes that are not at all trivial, which normally you will not find in other wine. Our Gamaret will remind you of many well-known varieties, but you won't understand exactly which ones. You will be impressed by the structure, the color, the strength that a vineyard that thrives alone in a mountain area can have.
