Pinot Noir is one of the varieties in which we have invested the most over time, both in terms of personal passion and as a company.
In fact, it is a wine label that has always been present within Cave Gargantua and that has undergone massive changes since the birth of Pierre, our king of Pinot Noir. From that moment on, to differentiate the two types of products, we decided to turn the classic Pinot Noir into a slightly simpler version, more focused on the fruit, freshness and typical mountain notes of this variety.
To do so, we opted for a refinement that took place mainly in stainless-steel tanks (from 60% to 70%, depending on the vintage), while still maintaining a wooden passage (30-40%) to give the Pinot Noir a minimum of roundness and preserve those peculiarities that we have always wanted to bring out from this wine.
